The North Rolling Plains Resource Conservation and Development Council works for you.
Our mission?
• Stimulate sustainable economic development in our ten-county region
• Protect and develop natural resources
• Improve our quality of life
• Strengthen our region through diverse partnerships
• Grow from the grass roots up
Resource Conservation and Development Councils were created by Congress in 1962, and are a branch of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. However, the councils operate locally to determine the needs of each region, using federal and state agencies as a resource rather than being directed by them.
What does this mean to you?
Well, if you live in one of the North Rolling Plains RC&D Council counties, we've got something to contribute. Our technical expertise can help you facilitate a meeting, organize a steering committee, or coordinate a project. Our access to a variety of federal and state funding entities can help you locate money for a variety of projects-museum restoration, computer purchases, tourism development, recreational sports facilities, conservation workshops, and prison chapels are just a few of the worthwhile endeavors that we've helped fund in the last fiscal year.
EEO/Civil Rights statement
“Resource Conservation and Development is a program of the Federal Government administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service. All programs and services of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service are provided in a nondiscriminatory manner.”
